West Coast Sikh Youth Alliance 16th Winter Retreat

West Coast Sikh Youth Alliance presents to you it's 16th Annual Winter Retreat!
This year's topic will be History of Sikh women. During this 3-day retreat, not only will campers be participating in lectures, but there will also be opportunities for campers to participate in Darbar, socialize with other campers, and take part in winter activities! Take this opportunity to reconnect with Sikhi, socialize with other fellow sangat members and have fun!

Sidak

Sidak is a distinctive leadership development program for young adults seeking to increase their commitment towards the Sikh faith. Sidak explores personal and panthak development through a Gurmat framework based in Bani (wisdom), Tavarikh (history), and Rahit (lifestyle). It is an experiential learning opportunity in which participants learn to pose reflective questions anchored in Sikh ethos to themselves and others to address social issues. The goal of Sidak is to ultimately develop Sikh thought leaders who will play a critical role in creating real, sustainable solutions to pressing panthak and world problems.

This intensive two – week educational experience that focuses on the Sikh way of living offers 3 different tracks:

Gurbani 101: Introduction to Guru Granth Sahib

Sikhi 101: Introduction to Sikh History & Theology (LIMITED AVAILABILITY)

Sikhi 201: Religion & Revolution

WCSYA Summer Camp

The West Coast Sikh Youth Alliance (WCSYA) is a not-for-profit youth organized society built to increase awareness and understanding of the Sikh faith, and increase tolerance and knowledge among young people. WCSYA holds yearly camps in quiet wilderness settings, for young people aged 9 to 18, in which the lifestyle of a Sikh is not only taught, but practiced for a one-week time period from.
